Liz MacIntosh is a painter from Summerland primarily working in acrylics. Liz has worked with multiple artists in the Okanagan valley and she will complete her Bachelor’s of fine arts at UVic in the spring of 2024. Through the process of mindfulness, emphasizing stillness and pause; Liz communicates these themes through drawing and painting. Her work acknowledges the truth, opening the blockade and allowing authenticity to fill the void. Liz’s work explores her relationship to self development by delving into difficult places and finding stillness through sharing these accomplishments. Luminosity and vibrant colour highlight these themes contrasting her imagery which evokes isolation, loss and dissociation.
